Hello, nice to meet you!

I’m Annie Eveker, a graduate of Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a double minor in Environmental Science and Meteorology.

My role as Program Assistant for the Butterfly House encompasses all departments, even occasionally entomology, which allows me to continually gain knowledge and experience in areas I otherwise would not have sought out. Do you know how to pin a chrysalis in order for the butterfly emerge?

Combining communication with science excites me and I often find myself connecting the public with the Butterfly House programs letting science and the process of metamorphosis capture their attention and entice them to sign up for a public program.

Public relations, social media marketing, and event planning are what I enjoy most. My skills in writing press releases, social media posts, graphic design, and competitive research analysis have allowed me to excel in many different roles and atmospheres.

I have always been drawn to the raw beauty of nature and strive to preserve the world around us for future generations. Working at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House, a division of the
Missouri Botanical Gardens, has allowed me to continue my passion for conservation.

Keep exploring the site to see my work and contact information.
